I contact you in the name of Cinema Club Sisak from Croatia. In September 2014 we are organizing the first festival of industrial film in Croatia and first in Europe of this type, Sky film fest which will be held in Sisak 4th - 7th September 2014 on international level.
The main goal of the Festival is to promote the industrial inheritage in Europe, but also in other parts of the world. In the four days of the festival there will be projections of industrial movies and TV-documentaries, which will represent the cities with industrial history and specific industires. Furthermore, there will be various movie workshops as well as round tables and discussions about the possibilities for the reindustrialization of Europe where we plan to invite economic analysts and entrepreneurs from Croatia and abroad.
We would be grateful if You could recommend us movie associations, organisations or authors from your country which could apply short movies or TV-documentaries for the festival. The main theme of the festival is industry, so that we would like that the movies represent cities or regions and their industrial history or industries that are important in the present. If You are interested in participating in the festival or could recommend us citizens of your country that are experts in any area of the festival of the program we would be glad to hear from You.
